MAY DAY: Celebration

In the history of DAP Cuttack for the first time we celebrated  May Day inside the office complex in the presence of all the enthusiastic comrades.  Com President CK Samal hoisted the RED FLAG in the presence of Com. Secretary and all the members of AIPAEA. With red salutes to martyrs  Com President very briefly addressed to the gathering and emphasized the very purpose of MAY DAY.  Working class of the entire world were united  in the year of 1889 and challenged the authority of state and their demand for 8 hours working per day. was finally accepted.  Lakhs of proletariat who  sacrificed everything for the betterment of entire working class are being remembered on this day.
Com. Secretary B D Senapati and Com. N K Das very briefly put forth significance of trade union movement with the beginning of Industrial Revolution during 19th Century.
Finally, Sr. Com Abdul Sahid , Ex President and Circle Secretary for many terms offered  tributes to martyrs followed by  rest of the comrades.
